I would certainly recommend the Dilke to family and friends.
First time visit - for a painful and very uncomfortable abdominal problem.
I'd arranged an emergency appt via 111 which I found quite a confusing system, especially feeling so poorly. But all staff were patient and friendly and made it as easy and pleasant as possible.
I do like the informative 'personalisation' of the waiting room area. It makes the point that hospitals like the Dilke are part of the community and supported and owned by local people. That's so different from big city anonymous or privatised facilities.
There was about two minutes wait to see the doctor who was approachable, attentive and listened well.
The diagnosis was better than expected - which is always a plus!
I'd been thinking it was something else and I was glad to be wrong!
I would have liked to know more about the medicine prescribed. But at least I have a much more accurate idea of how to treat the problem and get well quicker!
Thank you all at the Dilke and 111.
