"Parking is ridiculous!"

About: Weston General Hospital

I am absolutely appalled at the number of car parks outside the hospital but only one is for visitors! I spent 25 minutes circling the car park trying to find a space in order to visit a client staying in one of the wards and as a result I did not spend the full hour with them because of the inconvenience of finding a car space. To make matters worse a Mini had partially blocked me in by making an extra space for themselves and because I would have hit them had I have reversed out the correct way I had to reverse the opposite way and drive out of the car park the wrong way. Disappointing and frustrating and I do not enjoy parking at this hospital at all due to the inconvenience of it all.

Response from Weston General Hospital

We're sorry to hear that. Hospital parking is always a difficult topic. It may not seem like it but we actually provide a lot of parking for patients and visitors and our charges are a lot cheaper than the other hospitals in the region. When the hospital is very busy spaces can get full, but unfortunately we're not in a position to start building a bigger car park.

The hospital is well served by public transport if that is an option for you. you can find out details on the Travelwest website here http://travelwest.info.
