"A beautiful caring space"

I gave birth to my second son here in April 2016. Such a contrast to Princess Anne, where I ended up with my first birth due to medical reasons. I was was treated with care and respect, as an individual, not a number. It as busy, but no one ignored me when I hit the bleeper, I was encouraged to rest and relax (rather than being constantly on edge waiting for the next round of obs/monitoring/random interruptions as I was in post natal care at princess Anne).

All of this has contributed to a much, much improved mental state compared to the discharge after my first child.

There are risks, and the lack of doctors or advanced pain relief on site will understandably put some people off, but for me this is undoubtedly a brilliant place to give birth.
