I am sitting at Barncoose waiting room to be seen for my arthritic leg on seeing the doctor taking my mother in with me looked at me in obvious distaste in fact screwing their face up saying I can start by loosing weight then they asked " what happened" on asking what they meant they said " well look at you and look at your mother" at this blatant rudeness to me I said " well maybe I was switched at birth " my mother who at the time was recovering from cancer but also has had an eating disorder just about all her life. Bless her she there sat quiet whilst I went through the humiliation of in the doctors eyes of being a disgusting human being..no offer of pain relief no discussion between each other of the afflicting leg no advice or help a " just a sorry your fat wont help attitude towards me" then they played with their Dictaphone ..so next appointment after that had lost quite a bit of weight and by the way I am not a massive fatty as they make,
I was seen by a different doctor not sure why anyway same again " loose weight loose weight" Told them how painful my leg is and that it is bowing I can hardly sleep at night and in constant pain during the day I have an extremely active job I have to work full time sometimes until 8pm plus look after a horse and run a home without looking at my leg tucked under my skirt they said " everyone has a natural bow" by the way my leg is NOT a natural bow any fool can see that..conclusion of outcome to my visits " outrageous " nothing but blatant Discrimination towards me no empathy what so ever to the way this affliction has impacted on my life no help advice and the funny thing is they and they want me to go back,,Please are you serious!!!
My self esteem and self worth is now at an all time low due to my visits and you want me to go back and be humiliated again.....
No thanks..
"just a number"
