"Brilliant people"

About: Royal Cornwall Hospital (Treliske)

I just spent four days on the cardio ward.

I arrived in an ambulance and left full of the joys of spring.

Everyone I encountered was terrific: consultants, cleaners. technicians, nurses, EMS professionals, administrators, porters ...

Totally dedicated, alarmingly hardworking, bizarrely cheerful and encouraging, I could go on and on.

It's clear there are resource problems.

One reason I wound up in the ambulance is that my GP couldn't get me a cardiological consultation for 10 weeks from my initial diagnosis due to lack of availability.

And on a day-to-day basis, the nursing staff often seem to need to make-do-and-mend where they should have access to the tools they need.

This, I think, makes it all the more commendable that you provide such superb care.
