"Excellent Care in A & E"

About: Wishaw General Hospital / Emergency department

(as a relative),

My 80 year old Mother recently had the misfortune to fall and sustain a head injury. When she became unwell and started vomiting we decided to take her to the local hospital, Wishaw General A & E. I cannot thank the staff enough for the care she received, for their patience and understanding. My Mother has dementia and very difficult to to take care of. The doctor first name Svetlana, nursing staff Lauren and Maureen spent lots of time with her and showed great empathy when dealing with a person with dementia. My sister and I could see how busy it was in A& E but nothing was too much trouble for them. They are a credit to the NHS. I thank you once again for the wonderful service which you provide.

Dear Johnny D

Thank you very much for getting in touch and for your comments in relation to the care your mother received whilst attending the Emergency Department here at Wishaw General Hospital, and indeed at such a worrying time for you and your family. I hope that your mother is recovering well.

Your positive comments are very welcome and I will ensure they are fed back to the staff in the Emergency Department; who work so hard in ensuring the care we deliver to patients is of a high standard. I have no doubt they will be delighted for the feedback and particularly those you have personally named

Thank you once again and best wishes to your mother

Regards

Faith
