About: Royal Bournemouth General Hospital

My son Daniel was discharged from Ward 1 on the 18th of April 2016 after a stay of one week.

I write this on his behalf as he has learning difficulties.

Nevertheless these are his (and his parents) views.

Daniel was treated with skill, expertise and professionalism at all times.

The nurses were attentive and helpful throughout the day.

He was shown great respect and would like to thank Doctors, Nurses and Support Staff for making his stay as comfortable as possible.

Dear 'Daniel’s mum'

Thank you for taking the time to share about the experience your family recently had on Ward 1.

It can be a worry when your children have to come in to hospital for treatment and you have to leave them in unfamiliar hands hoping they get the care you would normally give.

We are pleased to hear you found the staff on Ward 1 to be skilled and professional in their treatment of your son showing great respect for his needs while attending him.

We will pass your comments on to the Matron and Ward Sister to share with the rest of the team on the ward as I know they will greatly appreciate your comments.

I wish you well and hope your son has a speedy recovery.

Regards

Sue Mellor
