About: Crawley Hospital / Gastroenterology

(as the patient),

I underwent an endoscopy procedure at Crawley Hospital. It was carried out with outstanding proficiency by the team led by Mr Theodropulos. I was given the option of a numbing throat spray or sedation. I chose throat spray which completely numbed my throat and the camera went in and down without any pain. The added advantage of the throat spray, you can go home after a cup of tea and a biscuit. Opting for sedation means staying on the recovery ward for up to three hours and an escort to take you home.

I am so glad your proceedure went well and that you had such a positive experience.

I will definitely feed this back to the staff involved. The staff all work very hard to ensure that the patient feels well cared for during which is sometimes an uncomforatable proceedure.
