"Minor injuries"

About: Stoke Mandeville Hospital

(as the patient),

I visted the hospital on Saturday at about 5pm, after splitting my forehead playing rugby. I was seen by one of the nurses within an hour. She was very helpful and caring, after inspecting the cut she cleaned it and stitched the wound.

Given the potential for an unsitely scar she was very careful with the stitching, and currently it is healing well and evenly. I'd like to thank her for the care and skill she took to help me.

Dear GJS

Thank you for taking the time to share your experience of our services at Stoke Mandeville Hospital, which you attended afer sustaining an injury when playing rugby.

I am pleased to learn that you were seen promptly by a nurse within the hour, who was very helpful and caring. It is good to know that the nurse's skills of stitching was of a high standard, helping to prevent an unsightly scar and I am glad it is healing well and evenly.

Please be assured that I will pass on your lovely compliment to the relevant manager for the service, so that your words of thanks can be passed to the nurse who provided compassionate care.
