I was induced after going over due by a week. The care I received was fantastic, even under fairly stressful circumstances. I made it to 9.5cm dilation but then had to go for an emergency c section. The care before, during and after was in my opinion just as good, if not better, as going private (which isnt an option in York!). Really caring midwives made such a difference. After a c section you feel pretty helpless as you cant even lift your own baby. The midwives made regular check ups to make sure both baby and I were ok and even came to change and attend to baby during night. after husband had to go home.
I would have liked to have thanked individual midwives with a gift, but I wasn't sure how to get them delivered etc...shame there isnt a process for this.
