I gave birth to my daughter in May 2015 and couldn't fault the service and care that was given to me and my two birth partners, my mum & husband. This was my first baby so naturally I was terrified but after arriving at 9am and settling into the birth center room at 11am (a walk around the hospital to pass time) we were taken care of efficiently and properly. I was left alone with my birth partners and was checked on regularly. The midwives were not intrusive and extremely relaxed. It really did feel like a home-from-home in terms of having my own space. Luckily I was transferred to a pool to give birth and she arrived at 4pm. I was able to share the whole experience with the midwives I met in the morning. I went home around 11pm (chose to) and wasn't made to feel like I should stay or do anything against my own will.
my midwives were brilliant in every way.
I'd like you to pass on to the midwives that we are actually expecting our second now that little Amaya is turning 1 soon! (Yes we are crazy!)
Thanks to queens my birthing experience was one of joy and I definitely won't forget them for as long as I live. Thank you!!!!!!!
