"Long wait for appointment with haematologist"

About: Leeds General Infirmary

I was an in patient at the LGI in January 2015 after being diagnosed with a pulmonary embolism.

Upon being discharged I was informed that I would be referred to a haematologist as I would need to be on life long anticoagulation medication.

It is now 15 months later and I still have not been seen.

My pulmonary consultant is supposed to have chased up this appointment as has my GP and I have also contacted the haematologist myself - all to no avail.

Is it normal to have to wait this long???
