"Speedy care for an eye emergency"

About: Eastbourne District General Hospital

I had to go to the doctors as I woke up with an eye issue who recommended I go to A&E as the quickest way to see an Opthalmologist at that time. I went to DGH A&E where they very quickly arranged for me to see the Opthalmologist who was based at Conquest that evening. We drove there and after a couple of hours I was seen. Then I was given an appointment the very next day to attend the eye clinic where further checking and diagnosis was done. Back again a few days later and now waiting for laser treatment this week. As we are new to the area this was my first experience of the hospital. It is clean - lively, bustling and actually very nice to be in. Staff all very helpful and friendly that I encountered. I have been very happy with the way I have been treated, and with how I saw others being treated.
