I recently had a " Turp" operation and felt all was going well then after two weeks I got severe pain, after 14 hours I phoned my GP. It was in the afternoon and the practise policy is phone calls am only, but Dr Finnigan did ring me back in the afternoon and made arrangements for me to attend the hospital that evening, which made it possible for an early intervention and an infection to be spotted, antibiotics prescribed and a control of the pain quickly.
