I've suffered from depression on and off for 20 years. The last ten years being the most difficult including one hospitalisation.
I've had CBT, one to one therapy, and REBT which was the best so far.
Psychiatric treatment has been poor, I've found it intimidating, Uncaring, and sometime quite rude.
