"A&E department"

About: Stepping Hill Hospital

I visited A&E with my daughter at 9pm when the junior doctors were on strike...and I support them.... It was very busy but the staff were very calm caring and professional with every patient. The staff on ward C3 were excellent and made my daughter feel comfortable and reassured and when she was transfered to B6 they also were excellent. The only down side was that it took a long time before she was given pain relief but they were busy. All in all everyone of the staff we came across were lovely and caring.

Thank you for your comments which I have shared with the teams you mention.

I am pleased to hear of your experience in the Emergency Department and on the wards however, I am sorry to hear of the delay in your daughter receiving pain relief.

I have also raised this with the teams as it is important that we provide pain relief in a timely manner.

I hope that your daughter is feeling better and wish you both well for the future.

Kind regards

Patient and Customer Services Manager
