"NHS 11 service was incredibly efficient"

About: Yorkshire Ambulance Service NHS Trust / NHS 111

(as the patient),

I started feeling very poorly on Friday, kept vomiting, was unable to keep any liquids down and had severe stomach cramps. Seeing that by Saturday nothing had improved, I decided to call the 111 service, who were absolutely fantastic! The person handling the call was calm and professional, asked me all the necessary questions and told me that a GP would call me within the next hour. Only 15 minutes later, the GP had called me and booked and appointment with the nearest out of hours GP practice within the next hours. Within 2 hours from the initial call, I was already out of the GP practice! I was extremely impressed by how professional and efficient everyone was. Thank you!
