"My emergency experience"

About: South Western Ambulance Service NHS Foundation Trust / Emergency ambulance Yeovil District Hospital / Accident and emergency

(as the patient),

I had severe chest pains and so my husband called an ambulance. The paramedic and ambulance crew were excellent, efficient and very calming and kind as I had never been in an ambulance or hospital for care before. On arrival at A and E Yeovil, I was seen quickly and everything was clearly explained to me. Tests and more tests and great kindness and efficiency. I did end up in the corridor on a Trolley for 15 minutes and staff apologised greatly while dealing with an influx of new cases. Completely understandable and handled well.

It would have been even better if the ambulance came more quickly as took 20 minutes but it must have been out of their control.
