I was referred by my GP as an emergency case and I was hoping that something good would come from visiting this place, unfortunately I found out how bad the mental health services can be. After finally getting to see someone I was rushed through the appointment within about 20 minutes. I was never able to properly explain my situation and yet by the end of this appointment the dr gave me a prescription based on those few minutes. I feel more that they were following a flow chart to get to my prescription rather than actually getting to know what my individual requirements are. If they had more time to get to know what my medical situation is and some of my history then they would have known that the prescription they gave me wasn't correct. They are obviously overwhelmed with patients and don't have the time for each one, based on that how can they possibly treat anyone properly. It was a huge let down for me and I wouldn't waste my time or theirs by going again. I hate to think that there are desperate people out there with conditions that are similar or worse than mine that might depend on these people for help. This service shows how bad things have become in this country with regards to mental health services.
