"Outpatients appointment"

About: Northumbria Healthcare NHS Foundation Trust

I attended an outpatients appointment on 4/4/16 at North Tyneside Hospital. I always expect a delay so the 30 minute wait time was to no shock. A stime passed the wait time went up to 90 minutes.

The staff at Clinic 3 were amazing. Under Pressure they worked with a smile and brought out tea and biscuits and worked hard to keep everyone up to date.

Well done

Dear Sir/ Madam ,

I am so sorry that you had to wait so long for your outpatient appointment recently - a wait of 90 minutes is unacceptable and I will ensure your review is brought to the team's attention. They will be acutely aware of the impact that delays like this have on their patients and will no doubt share my disappointment that our processes weren't as effective as they needed to be at the time of your visit. I am sorry.

Thank you for being kind enought to acknowledge how hard staff worked on the day to ensure visitors to the hospital were kept informed and in good spirits despite the waiting. It means a lot.

With best wishes,

Annie
