"Off-putting reception"

About: Nuffield Diagnostic Centre

Had to send a sample to the pathology lab at Kettering hospital.

So I went to the reception desk at Corby Diagnostic to ask where I could hand the sample in. After a while, a receptionist came.

Frosty in tone and curt in speech, they told me to join a queue (about a mile long) at the Pathology room to hand in my sample.

So I walked across the road to my doctor's surgery and the receptionist there took my sample (this receptionist was also well-mannered and courteous).

Thank you for your recent comment. It is not acceptable to be spoken to in a curt manner. Both myself and the reception supervisor have reminded staff of this. Samples can be left in pathology department in the box provided without waiting in the queue and I have asked Pathology to highlight this point.

I would like to sincerely apologise for your poor experience at the Diagnostic Centre.
