"Gastroenterology is a joke!"

I had an appointment with the Gastroenterology department on 6/04/2016 and due to junior doctors strike clinic has been cancelled but nobody informed patients about it. I left my work place 3.5hours earlier to get to hospital on time to be told that there is no clinic on that day. And guess what, I wasn’t alone, patient in front of me wasn’t informed either. It is a disgrace. It is should be as simple as picking up the telephone and leave a voice mail for the patient. Why this hasn’t been done?

So sorry that your appointment was cancelled.

We notified all patients if their appointment was cancelled as a result of the junior doctors strike.

I’m sorry you don’t seem to have been contacted, we will check what happened.
