When I arrived to A&E I had severe abdominal pain. The doctor assessed me and I felt they were quite rude about asking me personal questions. I didn't want to take Morphine for the pain as I like to have my brain at 100% and clean. Me being still in pain (which didn't pass after IV Paracetamol), this same doctor told me that I'll be discharged in the same day, later on. I asked why and how come? ? They answered because I'm not complaining of any pain. (I literally couldn't move because of the pain). I was thinking of telling them, just because when I gave birth to my daughter, and I didn’t shout, does that mean that I wasn't in pain? But instead, I just told them that the pain is still present and of a high level.
One of the nurses was also rude to me, I think they actually hid behind me while preparing the IV Paracetamol, just because I was watching (I thought I have the right to see and know what will happen to me. ) And when they took a urine sample from me, in the agony, I didn't say thanks, but they answered "You're welcome" to the never said thank you. I find this very rude and I must say I am very unhappy of how I was treated. I was expecting more from an NHS hospital where there are trained staff who usually are nice (or at least this is what I thought until I arrived in there as a patient. )
