"First class"

Yesterday our daughter had a procedure carried out in the Elizabeth Ward and from the moment we stepped through the door the professionalism and kindness of your staff shone through.

We were assigned a nurse to look after our daughter and they were fantastic. Nothing was too much trouble and they talked to our daughter appropriately for a 9 year old girl who was about to have her first operation.

But all the staff can be commended on the way they worked. The surgeon, the anaesthetist, the ward staff all explained clearly what was going to happen and we were given choices and time to consider them where it was appropriate. Our daughter even explained why they had done a particular part of the operation in a certain way to her brothers this morning because it had been explained to her in such a clear way.

We were also told that a nurse would phone today to check on how our daughter was. True to their word we received a call this morning which again was helpful and professional.

My wife and I are very grateful for the fantastic service your staff provided. They are an asset to your organisation.
