"Went to A & E with ileostomy ..."

What I liked

Went to A & E with ileostomy stoma not working. Super treatment from all at A & E, where I spent the night. Discharged from ward the next day.

What could be improved

Discharge procedure is unduly lengthy. Needed to get home before dark, as wife doesn't drive in dark. Expected to get out by 4.30, but left after 6.00. The paperwork was completely irrelevant to me personally. I was finally given one sheet of paper listing the drugs I was already taking! I could have left without it, or it could have been posted to me. But I was told that if I left without an official discharge, I would have to admit leaving against medical advice.

Anything else?

Every thing else wasfirst class. Well done the N.H.S.
