"Day Case Surgery"

I had a day case surgery on 29th March, 2016 in Day Case Unit 2

I was checked in by very pleasant and professional young nurse who introduced herself and advised me that she would be looking after me that day.

Both the surgeon and anaesthetist introduced themselves and explained the procedure/s prior to me going into theatre.

I was treated with kindness on the ward whilst I waited for my surgery, and afterwards. The nursing staff, theatre staff, anesthetist and surgeon were faultless and I felt confident in their hands. My surgeon and the anesthetist visited me after my procedure to advise me that were pleased with the way the procedure went.

The thought of going into hospital is never good, but all of the staff helped to make it a better experience and put me at ease.

In my experience this was the NHS at its very best.
