I was quite surprised to be shown into a small room with no window, albeit there was an air conditioner and a TV, but it felt like a cell, and in my opinion not a good environment to sit for over 2 hours. In other private hospitals, I have always been given (as a day case) a room with bed and ensuite bathroom, the latter being particularly important under some circumstances. If I am paying for the privilege of private facilities, I would expect to get them, before and after the operation.
