"Everyone had a specific area of ..."

About: Trafford General Hospital

(as the patient),

What I liked

Everyone had a specific area of care from being checked in to full explanation of procedure, anestethic, post op explanation by the doctor, incl copy of letter to be sent to gp.

What could be improved

Discharge. I was given no assistance to the WC or a steading hand whilst i got dressed,. The curtain was not closed around me and a visitor was allowed on the ward 15 mins before visiting time (whilst i was trying to get dressed unaided) I felt dismissed while i was still under the anestetic.

Anything else?

I am seriously considering putting in a complaint I am not happy about the care I received the last hour or so before being collected by my husband. The matron was offhand, unhelpful, from the moment I said i didnt have my mobile phone to contact my husband. She asked what i was unhappy with and i told her, she just said she was busy giving meds and i should have rang the bell etc.
