"No Confidence in Comments Book"

About: Chesterfield Royal Hospital

(as a relative),

I noticed on Staverley Ward at the Chesterfield Royal Hospital they have a comments book for patients or visitors to record their suggestions or stories. Firstly do they really think that someone is going to stand at the nurses station (where the majority of nurses spend vast parts of their shifts) writing about any grievances or concerns they have in the book. Secondly several pages, in fact I suspect, all those with suggestions or stories had been ripped out. It doesn’t fill you with much confidence.

I wanted to make a comment about the disrespectful and rude attitude of one of the nurses but didn’t feel able to for the fear of my relative being persecuted.

Maybe a comments box in a more discrete location would be more appropriate?
