Last November I was an impatient at RDE for renal treatment. On the evening I was discharged, severe abdominal pain began and I was taken back to RDE for an emergency operation. When I awoke the next day my socks had been removed which also took off the dressings on ulcerated toes. I pointed this out to the first doctor to visit me, who said someone would re-dress my toes. Nobody did in three days despite constant reminders by me and warnings that this has a danger of infection. Sure enough my foot became infected which rapidly spread to my whole leg. Only then did the staff take notice and started me on antibiotics. By that time, I was in another ward and my complaints were ignored. After discharge I wrote to complain that was not the first time (Had got MRSA previously). After a lot of persistence and frustration I eventually got a letter from the hospital denying any faults in the hospitals treatment.
