"That is how l lost my baby."

About: Bradford Royal Infirmary

On december of 2015 I had to call for an ambulance because of a severe vaginal bleeding and passing clots.I knew it was a miscarriage.I didn't know that l was pregnant as i regularly take the pill but I it was as clear as the cristal.I was left in the waiting area for more than 4 hours.than finally a nurse called my name and asked if they had asked me for a urine test.I said no so they gave me a plastic container so l could have a pregnancy test. After 30 min a doctor who said that worked even somewhere else as a GP said l couldn't be hospitalised, the pregnancy test was negative and for further assistance I should contact my GP. They just prescribed me sth to stop bleeding. After bleeding for more than 4 months, several times passing blood clots,l had a scan,a hysteroscopy where l was told a had a polip, they tried to remove it but l started to bleed so they booked a second appointment .After a month l attended my appointment and the biopsy showed some tissue inside of my womb and that I have had a miscarriage.I did not had a hysteroscopy but a different painful procedure to remove the miscarrige remainings.Horrible experience, too many mistakes.I can not stop thinking about that and the worst of all l was so shocked that I didn't ask how many weeks was the fetus and what caused the miscarriage. Now l am waiting to discuss the details to with my gp and l spend my time reading inf to find out how many weeks pregnant l was and that my little baby could have been saved.

I would like to say how very sorry I am for this very sad experience. I think that you are doing the right thing by discussing the details with your GP. If you do have any further questions after the meeting with the GP, I would encourage you to contact our patient experience manager on 01274364810 who will provide any support you need. Thank you.
