"Half and half"

About: St Peter's Hospital (Chertsey)

The new Birthing centre was amazing I can't fault them at all, I felt really relaxed and was able to chill out, it amazed me how much this felt like home.

However when I got moved to the maternity ward it was a very different story, I was treated very unfairly, I was given care I never needed and put through unnecessary hassle and pain, my son was put through hell and I actually got more stressed in there. It got to the point where I called a friend to get me out .

Firstly congratulations on the birth of your son.

We are pleased to hear that you felt at home in the birthing centre.

We are, however extremely sorry and concerned that your experience on the maternity ward was so different.

We are continuously striving to improve our care and ensure all women are supported in the first days of becoming a new parent.

Your feedback is important for us to understand what happened and we would encourage you to contact us to discuss with one of the midwifery management team.

You can contact our ward manager Jan Thurgood on 01932 722389 or the Head of Midwifery on 01932 722090.
