(as the patient),

On arrival at hospital recently I was met by student nurse sophie. she took me to the ward and questioned me about my general health; filled out appropriate paperwork and took blood pressure and temperature. this young nurse was very efficient and caring and explained that I should not have to wait too long for my operation. I got changed into my hospital gown and was soon on my way to theatre where dr mcmillan performed my surgery.

after about 1hour and a half I was in recovery room where again I was attended to by sophie, great care from a young lady who I'm sure will have a successful nursing career. well done Sophie and Dr mcmillan and the team. good experience at this hospital.

Dear coraldarr,

it is always a pleasure to hear about good patient and public experience in the health service but it was particularly nice to hear such lovely feedback about Sophie who is at the beginning of her career. After all, it will be our health in their hands in time to come.
