I was extremely impressed by my visit to the OPD Rheumatology Clinic a few weeks ago. Every single member of staff I encountered was polite, helpful and caring.
The moment I stepped through the door a porter came over to me and directed me to the right department. The receptionist, attending nurse, the Consultant, phlebotomist all treated me with respect and care, answered all my questions and I left the hospital confident in the knowledge that my health was in good hands.
As a retired Senior Manager in the NHS for over 30 years the staff at Tameside are among the most caring I have encountered. Well done Tameside you have the most valuable asset - caring ( this word almost disappeared from the NHS vocabulary a short while ago ) and efficient staff and I hope this is recognised by senior management and above.
