Took my wife to A & E this morning with chest pains. Seen within 5 minutes of arrival, escorted to consultation cubicle and test done swiftly and blood taken for analysis. The nursing staff were very efficient and friendly at, what became apparent, was a busy time. Seen by a doctor, sent for X rays and results discussed with 3 hours of arrival. It was not until we were leaving that I saw exactly how busy the department with serious cases.
