"Fantastic Caring & Compassionate Staff"

About: Conquest Hospital

I came to the hospital on the 29th March for an outpatient appointment.

I had a scan on Mirlees ward - the clinician was so lovely and put me at my ease - they were gentle, compassionate and I was treated with the utmost dignity.

Afterwards I went to see the team for an endometrial biopsy.

Again what wonderful dedicated and compassionate staff. Considering what I was having done, they were gentle, we had a few laughs along the way and what was a scary experience was handled in the most empathetic manner and I have come away feeling very positive so if I had to have it done again - I would not be so scared as the team were just fab!!.

Everyone got hugs from me to say thank you!! (I am a hugger!!!) and I hope that these very special teams will get some recognition from their line managers for their dedication compassion and gentleness in their patient care.

Over the last year I have been treated for breast cancer (Surgery/Chemo/Radio/Herceptin/Tamoxifen) and as someone who is soooo scared of hospitals!!! -

I can honestly say that all the staff that I have encountered have been so wonderful.

BIG BIG Thank you!!!

Kind regards,

Lee Melbourne

Dear Ms Melbourne

Thank you so much for your kind and thoughtful comments on NHS choices about the staff in Gynaecology at the Conquest Hospital. It's pleasing to read positive feedback.

We are very proud to have dedicated staff who are committed and caring, in order to make sure every person counts and that their experience is the best it can be.

Please be assured that your posting will be forwarded to the management staff in Gynaecology to share with their teams.

It's always encouraging for staff to receive positive feedback.

They will be particularly pleased to know that they helped lesson your fear of hospitals.

We send you are warmest wishes (and of course, a virtual hug)
