"Appalling circumstance"

About: North Middlesex Hospital

I have never known a hospital like this one. My sister has been an in patient for 4 weeks. I live over 65 miles away and can not get anyone to give me an update on her condition. She is unable to move herself, therefore can not phone me herself. Data protection has gone berserk, but equally When visiting they have not been able to tell me what is going on. When I have visited she has reported not having been fed when food has arrived, I've seen that she has not had regular drinks. Her catheter was mysteriously pulled out. The person taking obs was not doing it properly. The patient in the next bed had fallen out of it, how long she was on the floor before the nurse found her is unsure. Everything at the weekend stops. I don't think a staff nurse and one other person on a ward is enough for all the patients that need care. Especially ones that are vulnerable and can not press a call button when needing attention.
