"Fantastic maternity ward"

On the 29th January I had a planned caesarian at the Royal Berkshire hospital. Even though my previous c section was a fairly good experience in London, I was quite nervous as I did not receive much pain relief. On arrival everyone was super friendly and explained how things will take place etc. The theatre staff went out of their way to make us feel at ease. They explained each step of what they are doing and made the entire experience memorable. I have not had any pain at all and even the midwife was surprised at how well I was doing days later. I cannot recommend them enough. Having a baby and surgery can be stressful but they have turned it into a lovely experience. Everyone was brilliant, from theatre staff to the consultant obstetrician to the aftercare. Thank you for such an amazing service. I did not expect it to be that good.
