About: Nottingham Woodthorpe Hospital

I had a total knee replacement on the 20th january 2016. From arriving at hospital to leaving 4 days later on the saturday morning I was looked after extremely well. The food was good, nursing care was excellent. I returned to Woodthorpe for physiotherapy and that too was excellent.

I am now over 9 weeks since my opperation, my knee is comming on just fine but still taking time to keep myself to my phsio and my own exercise routine.

I will need my other knee replacing in the not too distant future and if given the chioce again will definatly choose Woodthorpe.

Thank you to all doctors, nursing staff and physiotherapy and no doubt a huge back room team that go unmentioned.

I’m pleased you enjoyed the food, we pride ourselves in using only the very best ingredients from local Nottingham suppliers,

I’ll pass your comments on to Dean our Head Chef, I’m sure you will make his day.

You are right we do have many staff in the background that work so hard to make sure your stay with us is enjoyable as it can be and we navigate you through your journey with us until you are fully recovered, they often go unrecognised so thank you for thinking of them and again I’ll ensure I share your comments with the whole team. You can indeed choose to come to Woodthorpe Hospital to have your other knee done, just ask your GP to refer you to Woodthorpe Hospital.
