"A & E Weekend service was excellent."

I accompanied my husband to the A&E department on Sunday Jan 31st mid morning, he had returned home from work early 'feeling very unwell'.

Within 10 minutes of walking through the front door he was seen by Triage nurse and 5 minutes later he was in the ER and was assessed by the consultant in charge no less.

All the appropriate screening was performed swiftly by the most professional expert and friendly team of doctors and nurses & emergency treatment was initiated.

He was admitted to a ward and on Tuesday the infection source was finally found by Microbiology department.(a life threatening bacterium)

Thankfully he has fully recovered due to the timely & expert treatment he received.We are most sincerely grateful to the Dr and the team on duty on a busy weekend in A&E department Scarborough Hospital.
