About: Leicester Royal Infirmary

i brought my wife in on the 17th of march 2016 for what we were told would be either biopsy or laser treatment for vin ,this was her second time of coming here the first being in a different ward which i cannot remember the name of but this last one being in the day clinic .

first the doctor sat with us and said ah yes you are having a biopsy as the last one there were changes in the spots and were cancerous ,i queried this as we had been told they were pre cancerous i did this twice as the doctor repeated it and on the third attempt the doctor changed it to no they are pre cancerous ,this was frightening for my wife of course and not a good start.

she was to have local anesthetic we were told and agreed to as my wife wanted to be out asap as we travel an hour to get there ,it all went badly downhill from there and what my wife describes including feeling the cutting after anesthetic was given and having to scream for them to stop ,the whole thing was like something out of a carry on film for her ,she did not tell me until we were home for fear i would complain ,she is in a lot of pain and tonight i had to have a look for her to see why it is still hurting so bad when two done before at kettering did not do so for so long ,

there are large and multiple stitches and what looks to be an open wound and a lot of inflammation to one side and a red raw patch above it,also she was told there were two spots and yet there is still one there clearly visible right next to a stitch ,compared to what has been done in the past she looks like she has been butchered this time ,here it is bank holiday and she will get no help with this as she will need to come back and she will not be being seen by the doctor who did this and i cannot find any direct email address for the doctor who i will insist she is to see this time ,i cannot describe how angry i am and the look of how they have left her but i am going to insist on a proper enquiry into all this , having had a good and positive experience previously although even then when we checked less than 48 hours after laser treatment there were still a couple of spots there which are the ones they were supposed to be removing this time ,

angry and heartbroken that my wife who suffers from anxiety had felt happy with the previous visit and came back nervous but happy as she thought all would be the same as last now feels in agony and scared to return in case they make things any worse than they already are and feels badly let down by the doctor for passing her on to somebody else and not telling her they were not going to be doing laser ,she found that out at her pre op .

disgusted and angry to say the least
