"A&E"

About: West Middlesex University Hospital

i had to go to a&e twice in 1 week due to extreme dizziness & severe breathing problems from which i could not even speak or walk much.my consultant who i usually see for another illness advised me via email to go to a&e for best treatment.i had to wait over 3hrs to be seen bearing in mind i could not breathe properly & my husband even told them i was going to call an ambulance but thought driving in ourselves would be quicker, to emphasize the urgency.in the 3hr waiting period no bloodtests were done so the doc had to do that which wasted time when i finally got seen to&had to wait over 2.5hrs for the results.they did routine ecg & xray which was normal & i was discharged only to be sent to my gp for further tests for my breathing such as being tested to see if im asthmatic which i feel they should've done there.considering its a long bank holiday weekend, that is absurd! My breathing is very worrysome but i do not wish to go back to this a&e after my experience although i don't know if i can wait to see the gp.both times it was packed out & lack of bed space.i understand the staff are overworked so there should be more doctors to accomodate the high number of patients.thank you
