"Children's Emergency Department and Lion ward"

About: Royal Berkshire Hospital

My 3 yr old son was very unwell with dehydration secondary to vomiting. We were seen promptly in emergency department, the nursing staff were brilliant, as were the play leaders in helping the registrar get a drip in and taking bloods. We were admitted overnight for

IV fluids, the nurses on Lion ward were very kind, attentive and I felt my son was totally safe. The doctors popped in regularly to check on us and explained things thoroughly. I can't thank the brilliant NHS staff enough - my son is much better now.

Thank you very much for your positive comments on the care that your son received while he was at the Royal Berkshire Hospital, in both the Emergency Department and on the ward. We will ensure that your comments are fed back to the staff, who will be very pleased to hear that their service was appreciated.
