"A very very anxious patient"

About: Darent Valley Hospital

I needed to attend an appointment for the day in the-gynaecology unit Acer ward.

I was a very anxious patient, but from start to finish every nurse or doctor I spoke to was very understanding of the way I felt.

They explained what was going to happen to me which helped to put me at my ease.

When it was time to go into theatre a nurse gave me the hug I needed, this nurse was very kind. The two anaesthetists were also very understanding very chatty which help me a lot. Before I knew it I was back on the recovery ward. When I came around was given a cup of coffe and some toast, then discharged a couple of hours later. Doctors and nurses are worth their weight in gold. Where would we be without our NHS. Thank you.

Thank you for your very kind words which have been passed onto the Acer Unit. We do hope you are feeling much better now.

Kind regards
