"paid for nothing"

my wife was an in patient in this hospital one year ago.

After the surgery we were in formed by the surgeon concerned tat due to a slip of their hand causing possible damage the suegery had been abandoned.

The surgeon told us to go away and see if the condition settled and that they would contact us after a year had passed.

It is now a year later and we have not been contacted.

Whilst we have no complaint about the treatment received nor against the surgeon concerned - slips of the hand can happen to anyone, there remains the fact that we paid the hospital £5000 and received nothing in return but 6 weeks of discomfort and anxiety.
