"Situation not taken seriously"

About: Queen Elizabeth Hospital (Gateshead)

After waiting 3 hours to be seen (which I am happy to accept if my levels of pain are taken seriously when I am called through). However, when I get to verbalise my problem with the consultant my concerns are completely dismissed.

I explained I am in so much pain I cannot eat, sleep or work because of constant pain in my groin. The consultant's diagnostics consisted of lifting one leg then the other and telling me to go home, take paracetamol and arrange physiotherapy at my doctors. I have always had excellent service from this hospital in the past. I know doctors are overworked but I am in agony. This is unacceptable.
