Last night I visited A&E – the third time I’ve visited here in the past few years and once again I received a fantastic level of care from all the staff I encountered. I have attended both the Paediatric and normal A&E departments and have consistently been impressed with the way the staff work and are so dedicated to what they do and how they do it.
I have never had to wait a hugely long time to be seen and the follow up care I’ve received previously has also been very impressive. My only issue is with the car park!
Last night I was looked after by a nurse cwho was lovely. They explained very clearly what they were doing or going to do, and kept me informed as to what was happening and was very reassuring without being dismissive. The doctor was thorough and didn’t make me feel I was being rushed through the system – they took time to get additional tests and to refer me to another area of the hospital.
What strikes me about this hospital is how everyone I have dealt with seems to really care about the level of care they’re delivering. They show real respect and kindness – often when dealing with some challenging patients and situations. Sometimes I don’t know how they do it! I feel very fortunate to have this as my local hospital. Let’s hope the government stops making it as difficult as possible for them to keep doing their jobs so well.
"Another great experience and level of service"
