About: Kingston Hospital

Have had lots of time to reflect and it was diabolical.

When I arrived it wasn't busy although it quickly filled up.

I was in significant pain and could barely stand.

There were two receptionists.

Onecwas polite one really wasn't.

I couldn't sit down due to the pain of a back injury - not in a low metal chair at least.

The receptionist, who was then spectacularly rude yo several patients behind me told me to stand if I couldn't sit.

So I did for about ten to 15 minutes.

Saw the nurse who told me I probably needed some pain relief and I'd see the Dr in about 20 minutes.

Asked for an upright chair and was told there weren't any.

I had to insist and they rather jobsworthily got me a wheel hair but it was clearly a lot of trouble.

The Dr put me straight on a trolley and insisted I lay still because of my injury - sent me to Xray.

I was in indescribable pain.

When I git back they asked if I had been given pain relief and I said the nurse had said they'd get it but hadn't.

Bless them, they got me some.

But told me nit to sit up unto the xrays were examined because I might have a broken back.

They told me the ortho's were looking at the xrays and then that it was a simple fracture, I didn't need surgery and cd go back to work when pain was ok.

Go to GP if concerns.

There was some irritation that I asked the Ortho reg to cone and talk to me.

I was sent home with no advice and no pain relief.

So, reception and the nurse in triage couldn't be bothered to help me.

The medical staff sent me home with no pain relief, no advice and no follow up.

Subsequently I have seen a neurosurgeon, the vertebrae had collapsed more than 50%, if it wasn't knocking into the spinal column I could have had kyphoplast which would have been most successful within four weeks.

Absolutely disgraceful and totally uncaring.

I'll never visit Kingston a&e ever again.
