"Disgraceful:Gave bed to someone else after..."

This area and the mental health team have no idea how to deal with these type or problems. My father was taken to hospital by ambulance as advised by the area mental health team. He was assessed and was to be admitted for review and assessment. After some 8 hours of sitting in a chair in a room he was told he had a bed at Goodmayes hospital. Given his condition the hospital would not allow family to take him so he had to wait for patient transfer. When the patient transfer arrived at Goodmayes they were told that the place had been given to somebody else and he would have to go to another hospital. This man is 78 and in need or serious help. His family are obviously distraught and the staff or administration have done nothing to help this situation for either the patient or the family. This is a massive fail for this hospital and it is no surprise that the ratings are so low. This is absolutely disgraceful.
