About: Medway Maritime Hospital

From the moment I was referred by my GP to the end of my episode within the Breast Care Unit I found every single member of the team a credit to the hospital. I received a call the very day after my GP visit to offer an appointment within the required 2 weeks as promised. The first contact on the day of the appointment was pleasantly surprising as the receptionist was genuinely kind and friendly, not the usual brusque, uninterested reaction from first encounter. Every single nurse, doctor, consultant and radiographer within the unit were warm and considerate. They listened to what was being said and gently guided me through the process, clearly understanding the underlying fear with such procedures. This team showcase one of the many outstanding areas within Medway Maritime Hospital and fully deserve positive recognition.
